Route 97 Diner in Westwold

Great option for any other locals or for anyone passing through. I am a burger lover and Route 97 does an outstanding job, I prefer them to any options in the nearby cities. Buttered and toasted bun, crispy crust on the meat but still juicy, great toppings (get your burger fully loaded!).A lesser known secret is Serene's Ceasar Salad, which is very good and a worthwhile treat to accompany your meal.And don't get me started on the pie shakes....I am a critical person, especially when it comes to food, and I dine out very often, and I have yet to be disappointed in Route 97 (other than them being sold out for the day).

This was a planned stop on a motorcycle trip looping through merrit and valmont from calgary. One of the guys I rode with loved it and highly recommended it. Great 50s ambiance and service was prompt and pleasant. Had a delicious hamburger and shake.A great place to break up a ride

Just funny I stumbled into this area. Westwold, I love that series hehe. Retro style diner that makes me feel like in an olden times movie. Those vibes along with the food that is very much the same style makes for a complete experience here.

Excellent place to eat. The owners are very personable and walking in there is a walk back to the 50's. Great food and plenty variety. Awesome pies also. Will definately go back to eat there. It is very clean and they have now added an outdoor patio to eat on. Thumbs up to the diner!!

I have heard great things about this place. The food is supposed to be great. The milk shakes are not.

The food was good and the service we was going to give a tip but they charged for using the debit card...

We stopped here briefly when enroute from Kelowna to Lillooet ...... nice little diner .... but could have been better.No ideal parking for bikes as All the carpark was gravel.... we had to park our bikes on the only bit of concrete along the front of the building.....Young staff were not very friendly and were busy with their phones.... however the older staff were lovely and courteous.Only 2 steps up from a gas station coffee bar which is a shame as it could be a lot more.....

Love the vintage look of that restaurant! Burgers and fries are great! Service was also good when we stop on a road trip. The inetrior is retro and unique! Get ready because the portion and size of plate are not small and that's the way we like it!

It had a park out front with really great well done seats and handles...rustic and antique park but looking more towards 6-16yr olds... my 3 yr old is tall but couldn't get on swings or teeter totter. Stopped to breast feed my infant and wasn't bothered here.Great place to stop for lots of reasons

Truly one of the best burgers I have ever had in my 55 years. The broccoli cheddar soup was better than my own and worth the stop on its own and if that wasn’t enough I will be making more trips to Falkland and Kelowna via Westwold just for the wonderful service from an amazing waitress right out of a fairy tale. Traveling to Kelowna ? I can’t suggest enough that you make a very miner detour and go through Kamloops to Westwold just for lunch. 😍

Great surprise with good homemade food. This little diner is very unique. Loved the fact that some of the staff dress up in a 60s theme. Very clean. While menu is a little limited, the food is fresh and homemade. Loved their chocolate milkshakes! Portions a decent size. Bottled water as they are on a well. You will definitely find something for everyone to eat... even our picky children lol. Do make an effort to stop in for lunch if you’re travelling between Vernon and Kamloops. Enjoy their back patio seating option during the spring/summer.

Charged for water, poutine was advertised as $4.00, charged me $12.50 and was about the size of my palm. Milk shake was good but for $7.00 I would have gotten something else. They were out of burgers... bathroom stunk like sewer and the back door was open and they said they just hope nobody walks by. Overall pretty awkward and don't plan on ever coming back.

Great food! For a sleepy little place they have dynamite home cooked food, get the clubhouse sandwich OMG it’s the best!

We really enjoyed our lunch today! friendly service and good food at a good price. And the stop is very cute and tourist friendly. Appreciate the fact trucks and trailers can pull in and through easily.

I love the hamburger food group, and this place was amazing! I'd say one of my top 3 favourite burgers ever!! In house made burgers, thick milkshakes and crispy fried; everything a cool diner should have.

Great food good atmosphere amazing service

They claim to be the best burgers in BC and I won't disagree. Diner with a 50' vibe with swivel stool at the counter and booths that brings you back. The food is as homemade as can be and delicious. The owner is very kind and works on making her customers feel more than welcome. Nice spot to take a break from your journey with tables outside and a little swing set for the kids to enjoy.

Saw this place on our way to Vernon figured we'd hit it up for lunch on our way back home.So glad we did, we had burger & fries, they claim to have the best burgers in BC! Well they stand true, it was delicious... home made style buns toasted on the grill burger was yummy & a mound of fries.If you pass it STOP! you wont be disappointed.

Had the poutine. Huge portion, with the right amount of cheese and gravy. Super friendly owners.

Super friendly and attentive service! The atmosphere is really fun, 50's style diner and a beautiful outdoor patio. Also a little playground for kids makes it an excellent roadside break or a fun destination to do something different. Prices are great! Would love to see a veggie burger on menu : ) but would come back either way.

If your stopping for an icecream it's great but if u want a meal there the food is pricy. A group of 4 ordering food there cost me 90.00 a bit extreme if u ask me .

We were told the water was not potable but we could buy bottled water. I suggested a do not drink water in the bathroom to prevent consumption. We were told all food was home made and locally sourced. The mushroom soup was a thick mushy consistency with unrecognizable chewy bits dispersed throughout. The French fries are coated...beware gluten allergies. The burger meat was chared and hard and dry. And the gravy was the consistency of pudding WHICH TASTED of chemicals. I suggest you not stop here to eat. The food is very poor.

Visiting in the area and stopped on for a snack before heading home. The chef on duty made a fabulous platter of nachos.Piled with taco chips,cheese and veggies.Wonderful. Enjoyed chatting with some of the locals who were also eating in or waiting for takeout. The decor is unbelievable.Those of us who grew up in the 50's are so in love with everything we see. A place to visit if you are travelling through Westwold.

Tasty , wholesome meals at reasonable cost . Nostalgic atmosphere . Stop here every time on trips through . Both thumbs up !!

We had a hamburger and coke. Of course. Loved the memorabilia from Elvis to Marilyn . Really great place for seating, too. Booths or outdoor areas... surprising . Also vintage hot Rods...
